running mplayer instead of totem

    I'm using Xubuntu with the Thunar file manager, but other FMs are 
probably similar. I simply right click on a file icon (my DVD drive has 
died so I can't test with a movie disc), go to Properties, and on the 
General tab I get an "Open With:" drop down with a list of the installed 
players. I simply select the one I want & from there on that type of 
file opens with the selected option.
