I was about to say that I'm running 8.04 on my laptop with
ubuntu-desktop but without seahorse (which has never worked properly
on that machine, despite working on two other ubuntu computers I use),
but I've just checked my facts and it (the laptop) does not have
ubuntu-desktop, for two reasons --- installing that tries to install
seahorse as well as f-spot, which I don't use and have never been able
to configure to shut up and not auto-run when I plug my camera or
camera card into the laptop.
How bad is it that I don't have ubuntu-desktop installed? Should I
install it before I upgrade to 8.10, and then purge f-spot and
seahorse again?
