A way to extract pdf pages from a multiple page pdf document

In linux it is cups-pdf.

sudo apt-get install cups-pdf

Then System|Administration|Printing and add the pdf printer. You can
then bring up the pdf and print those pages to the cups-pdf printer to
create a separate pdf with only the page(s) that you want.
