It doesn't matter TB or Gmail, I had asked if you were reading this as
am email or as a newsgroup post. Your response still does not clarify that.

In any case, Steve already explained a lot in his post.

Bottom line is that it depends a lot on what tool and method
(email/newgroups) is being used.

Related to your earlier suggestion, can you find out the setting in your
computer in TB that switches that signature on or off? I have a hunch
you won't .. but I will be glad to be proved wrong.

filtered to a folder in my mailbox and get periodically deleted without
ever having been read.
