Yes, I can ping google.com

Yes, I'm pinging from a static IP in the 192.168.0.xxx range.

this is all I have in  /etc/resolv.conf

# Generated by NetworkManager
nameserver 192.168.0.1

Should there be more?

You may be running into the 'fixed IP' problem that I was having &
