I very much doubt that Turboprint has anything to do with it. I also use
Turboprint for my Canon MP750 and it is a printer driver, a very good
one, but nothing more. You would get the same results if you used the
standard printer drivers. The issue of connecting to your printer
probably has more to do with the way you are attempting to connect.

For instance, my printer is on a USB cable on a 8.04 system. I use a
fixed IP for that printer, so even if name resolution isn't working
correctly, I can connect to the printer via the IP address. I also
happen to connect to that same printer via wireless (both hardy and
intrepid) and to do so I simply connect via IPP. So, from your wireless
the ipp setting would be something like this:

ipp://<IPAddress or system name>:631/printers/<printername>

You should first check to see if you can ping the printers host from the
8.10 wireless.
