Thanks for that, Markus (I see it's back for 2.6.27-14).  What a concept 
- read the changelogs :-)  Sorry for not thinking of it.

For anyone (e.g., Karl) with this device, it's well worth reading that 
bug report to understand the current state of support, and what you 
should or should not be using (particularly what you need to blacklist 
if you do use ath5k).
