Moved from Kubuntu to Ubuntu and have questions

Thank you.  Coming from Kubuntu I am familiar with Konqueror and love 
it.  Actually, one of my reasons for moving to Ubuntu is that the 
developers of Konqueror decided to focus on web browsing.

I would love to install Konqueror into Ubuntu, but don't want all the 
extra stuff, like dolphin coming along with it.  That is why I asked if 
it was possible to get Konqueror 3.5.10 in Ubuntu 8.10, but I got no 
answers.  I may just break down and install the version 4 Konqueror as 
it still does a nice job as a file browser.
