So, obviously the problem IS that nvidia does not keep up with kernel
advancements. If they opened up their proprietary drivers, this problem
would go away. Their fault. Or are we supposed to live with outdated
crap for decades just like in Windows, in order to keep closed hardware
providers happy? No thanks
