    Too late. I deleted Intrepid from my computer. It is my guess that 
the Hardy kernel would work but you need the whole kernel tree so the 
nVidia bash file can make and install the module into the kernel. This 
was not possible with the Intrepid  kernel.

    But an expert pointed out that the new version was not expected to 
work on all computers. So I am not sorry I tried, but I am not going to 
waste more time with it.
