remote login with gui

VNC and VNC viewer.

On the Ubuntu system you want to see (the "remote system"), use
System->Preferences->Remote desktop to allow others to see the desktop.
Definitely require a password and demand encryption.

On the Ubuntu system where you will be viewing *from* (the "local
system"), use Applications->Internet->Remote desktop viewer.

This is for GNOME; I presume similar functionality is available under
KDE. I am also fairly sure there is a Windows version of vncviewer.
