Could someone help with an Ubuntu install on a laptop?

Well I looked and my font is set to 10. I don't know why it is so big, it is not big on my screen. Is this message in HTML? I set it as plain text.

The mail message is also in a very large font. I do not use Yahoo, but
look under Settings, Options, Preferences, or another synonym.
