I think Derek is correct in this regard. While I can easily get my USB
printer working (Canon MP750) in VB/Win2KPro directly, I cannot seem to
get it to release the USB even by unticking the Device|USB. All of my
cupsys jobs are "Held" as long as VirtualBox is running. Even shutting
down the virtual machine doesn't work, only closing done VB completely
works. And, even then, I need to turn the printer on & off again to
re-enstate the usb port so the cups print job can go through. I suppose
there is an easy command line command to do this (restart the usb
port)... just don't know what it is yet :-)
