After kernel upgrade vbox fails to start

LOL!  synaptec has taken a dump too!  Along with my NTFS drive mounts. 
I'm going to roll back to the previous kernel and see if I can get 
control of things from there.  Then I'll look at your good suggestion 
re: 2.6.24-17.
