No. But I am curious as there was a thread recently where I did some
tests with a dead CMOS battery on a laptop and found that Ubuntu did
write back to the bios clock after getting the time from ntpdate. See
the archives (https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-users/) for the
"Computer loosing time" thread 5/15/2008. Here is what I found:
