Better that MS get paid twice for 10% of their software than have 90%
piracy at the university. (not my thinking, but the university's
thinking).

Well, now when I complain that they send files in word format, that
OOo cannot read because they use some obscure formatting for no reason
at all, they can tell me that I have no basis to complain. All the
software that I need to read those files is right there waiting for me
to install it.
