Karl, believe me, people would love to get off your back. However, they
(we) can only do so once there is no need to watch you all the time in
order to prevent possibly misleading advice.

He said "I am having problem with my root drive". That you took this to
mean "the /root directory", you can only be blame yourself. You need to
start reading carefully the posts of people you try to help [1] and stop
shooting from the hip.

[1] Sloppiness happens to everyone and god knows that I am sometimes
guilty of  same. But that's only all the more reason to try and be
diligent
