X11 login screen receives no input from mouse or keyboard

Is this a tablet PC? The 6.06 xorg.conf file has uncommented tablet PC
lines, which makes me suspect that this is a tablet PC. Also, have you
tried installing the trident video driver that worked in 6.06?
