I performed the GUI 7.10 to 8.04 upgrade and now my HP laptop does not
complete boot into graphical mode. I think I see a dialog popup about
xsessionright after login auth but it is very quick. The screen goes
black and all I am able to see is a black "x" No other terminals are
even avaialble with command-line. I can remote ssh into this laptop
but cannot find anything specific to xsession in dmesg or messages
file. The following is the tail end of dmesg. I appreciate any
pointers.
