Woa there cowboy, you got yourself mixed up and confused.  The UUID's
are *not* different for each distro.. that is the whole point of them.
The UUID is imbeded in the filesystem itself, one unique UUID for each
filesystem.

Of course, each distro has it's own /, /home and optionally /boot
filesystems, and therefore will have different UUID's in their
respective /etc/fstab's.  but the UUID for the same file system does not
change across distro.
