Yes. Go to Advanced Desktop Effects Settings->General->Opacity Settings
Tab.

Under Window Opacities, click new. 

In Opacities Window textbox put 'DropDownMenu' without the quotes.

Move the slider around. Start at around 80 and then go from there.
