Note of caution - I would stick with 1.5.6 (works well on Hardy) for
awhile until 1.6.2 comes out:

<http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=6092&sid=0915c9efc37228b0f967f8b84dec7d5e>
[Ubuntu 8.04 host interface broke after 1.6 upgrade]

http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/1471
[host interface networking broken on linux hosts => Fixed in 1.6.2.]

I get a network connection w/1.6.0 (using Hardy), but following my
upgrade from 1.5.6 I could no longer browse the other network machines
(my Ubuntu's running Samba) from the VM where I could before.
