There should be no reason [1] to mess with repositories if you follow
the recommended upgrade procedure:
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading

Otherwise, just replace any occurrences of "gutsy" with "hardy". E.g.,
here is my sources.list (which has everything enabled, including the
proposed updates and backports. Remove these if you require that your
system is stable). After replacing your sources.list you need to run
"sudo aptitude update" and then "sudo aptitude full-upgrade". Note,
however that this procedure is not supported and _will_ require you to
fix various problems manually.
