What I would do is a,
Sudo apt-get update,
Sudo apt-get autoclean
Sudo apt-get upgrade
If that fails, then you can always download the .deb file and install it
manually before trying to upgrade it again.

Subject: Problem upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04
Greetings folks:
I've been trying upgrade to the new edition of Ubuntu but keep running
into
a problem. The process gets to the last file to download, tries three
times
then spits out this error before rolling back the action to that point.
Failed to fetch
http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/p/python2.5/python2.5-dbg_
2.5.2-2ubuntu4_i386.deb
Hash Sum mismatch
Any thoughts? Is there a way around this?
Regards...
