Can't read any DVD, and can't mount the dvd drive

Did you create these two entries in your fstab manually?
/dev/hdc        /media/cdrom0   udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec 0       0
/dev/hdd        /media/cdrom1   udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec 0       0

you have to make user the device file is available on your system under /dev
directory.
