Adding the Trash icon on the desktop

It's
/apps/nautilus/desktop/trash_icon_visible

One can change this setting (like any other) without installing
gconf-editor. For the Trash icon do:
 gconftool-2 --set /apps/nautilus/desktop/trash_icon_visible --type
boolean true
