USB soundcard recommendation please

IMHO, asking a open list for recommendations for this like this is a bit of 
a waste of time.  I don't know how many times I've seen people ask this kind 
of question and only to get answers of ... My X works fine.  But then others 
saying...I bought X and it never worked for me....Or, X isn't good....and it 
is all the same X.

It isn't much better....  But, you may learn more by doing some of your own 
research...picking 2 or 3 products that you think will suit your needs and 
then asking if people have experience with those.  Your question is simply 
too open and too vague.
