/bin/rm: interactive (-i) problem with 'y'

Package: coreutils
Version: 5.97-5.3ubuntu3
Severity: normal
File: /bin/rm

I think that /bin/rm has a problem about interactive mode. Infact prompt
considers only the FIRST letter of the answer and not entire answer.
Please, consider that example:

Z:~/qq$ date > foo
Z:~/qq$ ls -l
total 4
-rw-r--r-- 1 user user 29 2008-03-18 20:18 foo
Z:~/qq$ rm -i foo
rm: remove regular file `foo'? yesitisatypingerror
removed `foo'
Z:~/qq$ ls -l
total 0

Thx.
