I wasn't subscribed to the list before I filed the bug
with the bugreport program so it couldn't get to you
Here it is now:

Subject: clamav-daemon: can open NO file for scanning

X-Mailer: reportbug 3.38ubuntu2
Date: Tue, 18 Mar 2008 21:24:38 +0000

Package: clamav-daemon
Version: 0.92.1~dfsg-1volatile1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Trying to access no matter what file will produce a
warning like below and quit without examining the
given file:
jean at jdackle:~/bin$ clamdscan aux/
/home/jean/bin/aux/: lstat() failed. ERROR

Running clamscan instead works flawlessly.

The same problem exists in Ubuntu Gutsy's
0.91.2-3ubuntu2.3 package.
