Ubuntu update killed application

    No. I tried to check for updates with apt-get and it said the system 
is broken and to use Synpatic. So I did and it had some unfinished 
updates listed for Skype so I played with that awhile and it said 
install Skype? So I said yes and it did. I have it installed again. Not 
sure just how.
