Loading Windows Xp

    I made the first partition on the first hard drive open for windows 
to occupy. I called it a FAT16 file system and another but the stupid 
loader can't find it. I have an old Home edition cd-rom and it seems to 
work but never completes. I guess I could try the older Windows 98 and 
wee if it loads.

    Any ideas will be appreciated. I have little experiance with windows.
