So do I but UUID is a total new concept to me. I found a place where
they said to use vol_id -c device to get the UUID number but the newer
software upchucks on the -c. You use just plain sudo vol_id /dev/hda2
for example and it prints out what you need twice for some reason.
I have my menu.lst and fstab fixed with maybe the right stuff. If it
works when I reboot I'll know it's a winner :-)
