ְTry installing via dpkg and post the output here. For me (feisty) it
installed fine:

$ sudo dpkg -i AutopanoPro_Linux_140_2007-12-18.deb
Selecting previously deselected package autopanopro.
(Reading database ... 202022 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking autopanopro (from .../AutopanoPro_Linux_140_2007-12-18.deb) ...
Setting up autopanopro (140) ...
