New install, no grub. How to boot?

I figured out how to change Grub's kernel version from the Gutsy
version to the Hardy version. This lets Hardy boot. Well, sort of, but
that's a different problem and a different thread.
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
