Thanks for pointing that out. I just read a similar article on CBC.ca too.

...so it seems Karl is vindicated. Microsoft are indeed, slashing Vista
prices by up to 48% - but you'll only see cuts that deep in "emerging
markets", the rest of us will only see about a 20% cut.

For me (who doesn't depend on Microsoft software for anything and has no
need to run Photoshop CS3 or other W32 apps which don't work under WINE)
Vista just can't compete with Ubuntu. Especially now that I got my
desktop effects working smoothly. ;)
