Hi Folks.

Last week I bought a new Seagate 500gb SATA2 drive and an ACOMDATA
enclosure for it. When it arrived and I put it together, Ubuntu
recognized the drive right away and I was able to partition the drive
and copy my stuff to it.

However now when I plug it in it does not mount, instead I get messages
like this in my logs:

These bugs aren't any help so far and are pretty old too:

"remove any jumpers from the drive" - but this is SATA2 and not
jumpered. So now i'm at a bit of a loss for what to do next.

To further the weirdness to successfully get it to mount it seems I need
to hibernate my machine, turn on the drive, then resume. Then it is
mounted. fsck says it is fine.

I've tried a few other machines and get the same messages in the system
logs but on some of them the hibernate-to-mount trick does not work.
The same problem happens on my Fedora 9 machine too.

Anyone have any tips to offer?
