keycode error

Hi all,

After trying the methods mentioned here
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HotkeyResearch and lshal -m
i didn't get any codes for my fn+f1 press. I mean i didn't see any
output. Seems the key combination doesn't producing any signal. Does
that mean that something is wrong with bios? May i still use these key
combinations to launch an application?

Using ubuntu hardy.
