I have an AMD64 dual-core CPU box. It flies. I built an Intel
dual-core CPU machine for a friend on Saturday. He is frothing over
how fast and stable it is. You will have a few more hoops to jump
through in terms of getting codes, plugins, flash and whatnot going
for your browser, but a visit to medibuntu should solve a lot of that.
The 32 bit version will certainly run well on your PC, but if I were
you I'd go with the 64 bit version.
