Ubuntu 8.04 and VMware 1.0.6

Rich, Owen, and Nils:

Well...removal of libgcc_s.so.1 from /usr/lib/vmware/libgcc_s.so.1 file
did the trick. I can now get the console screen and configure the op
system.  However, I still need to get virtual machine to recognize the
cdrom drive /dev/sr0 which it does not currently do. I also need to
install the guest op system after this is fixed. Additionally, I will
need the USB setup and serial port setup to function. It's coming along
slowly.....thanks all.
