ATI graphics support?

Forgot: AMD/ATI explictely said they would NOT free their exiting
proprietary driver ("fglrx"), IIRC. What they are freeing is the
technical data about their latest graphics chips, that allows one (in
this case, Novell) to write a driver of their own from (nearly) scratch.
