Do you at least get the screen telling you how to get to your bios, e.g. says
somewhere on screen something like hit f2 to run setup? If you get this far
then at least the motherboard should be fine. If not it would most likely be
a hardware issue or as I've once or twice experienced a cmos issue in which I
had to short the pins for the cmos memory to return the factory defaults
enabling my system to boot up. You'll have to check your systems
documentation re this though
