Ubuntu 8.04 No fonts

Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron

There is no "Fonts" folder under "System-Preferences". "Fonts" is a tab
under "System-Preferences-Appearances".
The "Details" button takes me to a dead end in the "Fonts Rendering Detail"
window. There is no way to the "Go to Fonts" folder.

*How do I add or delete fonts in Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy???*
