    What I did and worked was to get first mailx and it installed fine. 
Then I got mailutil and it loaded fine. Then I got the pdf manual and it 
is too old. It must be for an earlier software. I found /etc/mail.rc 
which is a control file. If you get that with mailx then you might not 
need mailutil.
