Scanner no longer works

Yes. Go to System->Administration->User and Groups.
Unlock it.
Go to your user (not root), click properties, user privileges -> use 
scanners -- tick.

That's it. I don't know why the common user has no longer access to 
scanners, by default.


(* Btw, in the User and Groups screen, if you don't unlock the screen 
and go click properties for your user, change nothing and then press OK, 
why are you required the password? It seems like a bug to me. An easy 
way to make this easier would be to monitor the fields and when 
something is changed, activate the OK button. Any idea where I can share 
my humble opinion? Thanks *)
