Hello.
I have Firefox 3 rc1 installed on Ubuntu 8.04
today Firefox 3 final version is available for download.
How can I update to this new version?
I have try with add/remove software, but it does nothing, them I try to
reinstall it with Synaptic Package Manager, but it does not make any
difference,.
I have downloaded it form the web. I get a bz2 file which I uncompress, but
I do not know how to proceed or if I should proceed.
it is not a package to install and it have a few executables like
firefox-bin.
how can I know that this is a compiled version for Ubuntu/devian?
is it save to run the firefox-bin?
should I just wait until a version for firefox 3 is available from the
Ubuntu repository? and when this happen, how do I know it ?
thanks in advance.
Felipe
