over here my systems seem to start counting CPUs at #1 so on my
hyperthreaded machine both...
cat /proc/acpi/processor/CPU1/power
...and...
cat /proc/acpi/processor/CPU2/power
...work whereas using CPU0 does not.
...here's my output:

...doesn't look good for power saving but then again this is a
P4EE-3.2ghz. :)
