Hardy X won't start on Armada 7800

If you have a backup of the xorg.conf file from 7.10 you could try to use 
that one. Other than that you could try the command

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

and select a bpp value of 24 or lower. According to this line

it tried 32bpp but that value isn't accepted by the server.
