Well, yes, that was my primary source.

Well, then, it makes it pretty much useless. Not to mention impossible to
understand. Bridging is just a function of ethernet - what kind of
interface is involved _should_ be irrelevant. As far as the Bridge device
is concerned, it's just another client program sending data to the external
interface. It can't even _know_ what the external interface is.
