Karl, didn't we just have a large discussion on this list stemming from
basically the line above. Instead of yelling at me stop and think for a
moment. It is looking for it. It is not finding it. It also looked
for other file systems and didn't find them, either. You don't seem
concerned that it didn't find those other file systems so why be
concerned about this one?
Or, to put it another way, what matters is not that it is looking and
failing to find these file systems. What matters is /why/ it is looking.
If the /why/ is superficial then it does not matter they are not found.
Since Ubuntu is fairly user friendly and tries to automatically mount
file systems from /other operating systems/ if you have no other
operating systems and thus no file systems to support them then it is not
a problem that it is reporting it can't find them... *it is expected*.

The major problem is writing beyond the end of the partition. Compared
to that not finding file systems that are primarily used by other
operating systems is small fry.
