    Not a direct reply but...  I prefer KDE over Gnome.  I like the blue
theme of KDE.  Recently with the direction KDE4 is taking (right into
the crapper) I seriously thought about looking at Gnome.  On my main
machine I installed the Gnome desktop and logged into it.  I'm still
ambivalent about Gnome but I have to say the heron wallpaper that Gnome
has it stellar!  A beautiful abstract with lovely, vibrant colors.  I am
going to ferret out its location on the hard drive and move it into my
normal wallpaper rotation.
